This page has the guidelines for keeping content and formatting consistent across the WCF Wiki.

THIS PAGE IS NOT COMPLETE, WIKI MAINTAINERS SHOULD STILL COORDINATE WITH DARKLOR FOR THE TIME BEING.

General Guidelines

Small Edits

When editing an existing page, try to keep edits contained to a section and ALWAYS add an edit summary for each edit/creation

So multiple small edits is preferred over completely redoing a page in one go

No Butthurt Clause

Do not be offended or take it personally if Darklor reverts, corrects, or deletes something you did. an explanation should be in the change notes for each of such changes.

Writing Style

Try to keep it to an "encyclopedia style" as much as possible. its okay to let your personality out a bit though.

Formatting

Use minimal markup on articles

use bulleted or numbered lists when relevant.

If you are comfortable, its best to edit in source code mode, but that is up to you.

When linking pages in mid sentence, use correct situational capitalization and naming, you can give page links a "display name" at each instance of a page link.
